Basements | Our 6 Favorite Spaces

Color Drenching Deep Dive

In this episode we talk about the trend of the year, which we saw coming down Runway for sure in 2024 and some in 2023, and it’s called the Color Drench. This episode will unpack what this is and where to do it, how to do it, how we’re doing it, and we’re gonna share 5 projects that have been shot. We’ve been practicing this for probably the last 9 years and we didn’t know what it was called back then, but now we do and it’s awesome. In addition to the walls and ceilings, many objects and insulations such as window treatments and light fixtures get the same color treatment. However, a single color treatment doesn’t mean monotony. This is my all time favorite podcast!! I recently for my certification in residential interior design and a huge part of that was inspired by these ladies!! They’re fun, encouraging and have taught so much to me in this show! So thankful for Jess and Suz (and Cory!)

I have been listening to this podcast since they launched. I loved hearing their stories and advice, but lately I’ve noticed how judgmental and snobby they are about personal design choices. It’s very unattractive. In addition to that, they have launched the podcast on YouTube, for the extra revenue, I’m sure. However, podcasting is not a visual medium. We cannot see what they are showing us and talking about, which is really frustrating as a listener. Combine that with the snobbery and it is apparent that these women are out of touch in too many ways.
