83: Bands of Death (with Dan Fardell)

This month, the Devils and guest comedian Dan Fardell come up with a new scoring system for movie reviews, ask whether a steel drum could ever be a P.I.M.P., and do the best impression of the Insidious franchise that you'll ever hear.

Somewhere among all that, we consider horror movies about rock musicians, including Studio 666, Phantom of the Paradise, Rocktober Blood, Hard Rock Zombies and Green Room. Plus reviews of new releases Thanksgiving, Saltburn and even Anatomy of a Fall.

A well rounded group

This is an informal chat about horror films with five enthusiasts who have different tastes and good self-humor. The categories - sub genres like PCs Gone Mad and Chillenials - are funny but apt. There is implied analysis without too much waxing on, and it moves briskly, without the grating donkey-bray laughter of so many horror podcasts.

Best of all, these critics really know their stuff, and I'm always impressed with the esoteric and eclectic range of films.

Very entertaining horror podcast

Totally entertaining horror podcast. Love the films and topics covered! Each member brings something interesting to the table and it's obvious the group is super enthusiastic and passionate about horror. The sound quiz is quite entertaining to listen to as well. Keep up the great work.
