Diasporic mayonnaise salad

Driven by desire to understand the surprising ubiquity of a certain mayonnaise salad, we revisit food histories related to the Russian revolution, the Soviet celebratory table, Katie’s first time and beyond. We also discuss the culinary dimensions of philistinism, national identity and nostalgia. Katie goes deep and asks why it is that we enjoy food at all.
