Dimming The Gaslight: Our Healing Journey From Narcissistic Abuse

I’ve been listening to Mac’s story from the very beginning. You can’t help but feel his pain with him, especially if you’ve been through Narcissistic abuse yourself. Mac is a voice for all of us and an inspiration to never give up.

I’m a fan of people/podcasts/advocates that speak up regarding narcissism and what it looks like. If Mac has experienced this, he doesn’t do a good job of shining a light on what she’s done. What he has done a good job of is showing how immaturely he’s responding to his ex-wife’s behavior and putting his children in impossible situations. She’s their mother and yes, he created them with her, so it’s important to note that putting them in the middle of situations they don’t deserve to be in (like he clearly does in episode 115) is unnecessary and disheartening. He is clearly vindictive about the situations she’s put him in and his entire relationship with her is definitely toxic (not to mention her codependent relationship with her family, their lack of boundaries with him and his wife, etc.) In all honesty, he did a better job of painting his former MIL as a narcissist than his ex wife. Either way, I won’t be listening again. Grow up, Mac - if your ex is as awful as you claim, be better.
