Disciple: Conform - Walk by the Spirit - Nate Miller OneLife Church

    • Religion & Spirituality

What does it look like to grow in spiritual maturity? This week, Nate Miller finished our Disciple: Conform series looking at how we change to be more like Jesus. Like plants produce fruit as they grow, followers of Jesus are also called to produce fruit of the Spirit in their lives. In Galatians, Paul says that we are to “walk by the Spirit and you will not gratify the desires of the flesh.” As followers of Jesus, we must submit to the leadership of the Holy Spirit. Being led by the Spirit is like being led by a father who is gentle and full of love for his children. We also start living by the Spirit’s desires and starving the sinful desires of our flesh. It’s in an environment that is submissive to the Spirit that we can begin to bear fruit of Godliness in our lives: love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self control.

You can join our OneLife Sunday morning gatherings via livestream at 9am and 11am CST every Sunday morning. Or if you’re local to the Bay Area of Houston, we’d love to have you join us in person Saturdays at 5pm and Sundays at 9am and 11am!
