    Galatians: Protecting Against False Gospels

Paul preached the same gospel to Jews and Gentiles—grace alone, nothing added. When Titus, a Gentile, was fully accepted without adopting Jewish law, it made the message unmistakable: we are saved by grace, not by what we do. But that truth must be guarded. From the beginning, false teachers tried to add to the gospel, and the same danger remains today. We’re called to hold fast to the true gospel, discern what’s false, and not drift into performance or striving. The invitation for us is to examine where we’ve added to grace and return again to the gospel of Jesus that saves and transforms. You can join our OneLife Sunday morning gatherings via livestream at 9am and 11am CST every Sunday morning. Galatians: Guarding the Gospel

As we begin a new series through Galatians, we’re confronted with a sobering reality: even small distortions of the gospel can lead us away from the truth. From the beginning, false teachers have added to Jesus, turning “Christ alone” into “Christ plus something else.” But the true gospel comes from God, not us—it’s about what Jesus has accomplished, not what we must earn. Legalism may look like devotion, but it leads to exhaustion and bondage, shifting our focus from Christ’s finished work to our own performance. The good news is that God’s grace comes before our effort, His approval is secured in Christ, and the gospel leads to real freedom. So we hold fast—guarding the truth with both our words and our lives—refusing to drift back into the very bondage Jesus died to set us free from. The Gospel of Mark: Resurrection Hope

Mark’s Gospel ends with an empty tomb and a question that still confronts us today: what will we do with the resurrection of Jesus? The women came expecting death but were met with life, reminding us how often we live as if hope is gone, unaware that everything has already changed. Jesus is not in the grave, and because He lives, hope is present. The resurrection is the foundation of our faith and the power for our lives now. Without it, we are still lost, but because of it, we are invited into new life. In His kindness, Jesus entrusts His mission to imperfect people, calling us to live with hope and to share that hope with others. God calls us not just to believe that Jesus is alive, but to go and tell others the hope we have in Him. Easter at OneLife: Born Again

Jesus’ resurrection is not just a past event to celebrate, but a present reality that still changes lives today. In John 3:1–17, Jesus shows Nicodemus that no amount of religion, morality, or spiritual effort can bring the life we truly need—something deeper has to happen within us. Being born again is entirely God’s work, not something we can achieve through church background, good behavior, baptism, or praying the right prayer. What we all long for is not self-improvement but true spiritual transformation, and that is exactly what the Spirit gives as He makes us alive. The good news of the gospel is that we do not climb our way to God; God comes to us in Jesus to do what we could never do for ourselves. This new life can’t be earned, only received. This is an invitation not to modify your life, but to be made new and to be fully transformed from the inside out.
