A Banana has an opposite meaning which means someone who is Asian but has a Western mindset. 1 Egg (Ryan) and 2 Bananas (Marc & Edward) all hail from the US, with different backgrounds, have united to discuss our life experiences living and working in different parts of Asia and now reside in Taiwan. We want to help English learners with new phrases, idioms and slang, while incorporating some Mandarin and Japanese while discussing various topics in our lives.     Food is something that provides nutrients. Food is usually of plant, animal or fungal origin, and contains essential nutrients, such as carbohydrates, fats, proteins, vitamins, or minerals. A well-balanced diet provides all of the energy you need to keep active throughout the day, nutrients you need for growth and repair, helping you to stay strong and healthy and help to prevent diet-related illness, such as some cancers.     Taipei is the political, economic, educational and cultural center of Taiwan and one of the major hubs in East Asia. Considered to be a global city and rated as an Alpha − City by GaWC, Taipei is part of a major high-tech industrial area. Railways, highways, airports and bus lines connect Taipei with all parts of the island. The city is served by two airports – Songshan and Taoyuan. Taipei is home to various world-famous architectural or cultural landmarks, which include Taipei 101, Chiang Kai-shek Memorial Hall, Dalongdong Baoan Temple, Hsing Tian Kong, Lungshan Temple of Manka, National Palace Museum, Presidential Office Building, Taipei Guest House, Ximending and several night markets dispersed throughout the city.
