Radio Free Skaro is possibly the most popular, most prolific and charmingly irreverent (but never irrelevant) Doctor Who podcast around. Since August 2006, hosts Warren (in Vancouver, BC) and Steven (in Edmonton, AB) have provided listeners with their brand of amusing Doctor Who praise and punishment. A year later, Chris (also in Edmonton, AB) was added to the team, and The Three Who Rule were born.
Recommended by Doctor Who Magazine, Radio Free Skaro provides an entertaining and diverting listen for the diehard or casual Doctor Who fan. New episodes usually appear on Sundays, following a loose magazine format of the three hosts discussing the news and events of the past week in the worlds of Doctor Who, Torchwood, and the Sarah Jane Adventures. They have also recorded special commentary podcasts for classic series and new series episodes of Doctor Who along with interviews of some of the brightest of the Doctor Who luminaries. Radio Free Skaro is also the official podcast of Gallifrey One, the world’s largest and longest-running annual Doctor Who convention.

Radio Free Skaro #871 - One Louder
A monumental episode as there are now more Radio Free Skaro episodes in the wild than there are Doctor Who episodes! And to celebrate this, Chip from Two-minute Time Lord joins us to give us a temperature check on the current state of Doctor Who. Also, we present the first half of our Miniscope on Doctor Who director James Hawes, who helmed “The Empty Child” and “The Doctor Dances”!

Radio Free Skaro #870 - Doctor Who Title Generator
After months of waiting, drumming our fingers, and alternating between hype and apathy, or hype-athy if you will, we finally have a title for Jodie Whittaker’s final story as the Thirteenth Doctor, and that title is…The Power of the Doctor. Not much to go on, but that won’t stop the Three Who Rule from mightily cogitating based on those five words, as well as talking about the new Flux soundtrack, Daleks in comic strip form, more Big Finish stuff, and as always, The Timelash!

Radio Free Skaro #869 - A Belly Full of Wine
It is a sad day worldwide as noted Doctor Who fan Queen Elizabeth II has passed onto her final rest, and at any rate we have very little Who news to discuss but we do have Big Finish updates, a Cubicle7 Doctor Who RPG Humble Bundle, Steven and Erika are Hugo winners again but most importantly The Timelash delves into Doctor Who history and plumbs the depths of trivial nonsense for you, dear listener!

Radio Free Skaro #868 - I Think It's Going To Be a Long, Long Time
The Fallow Times of No Doctor Who and Even Less Information continues, but our friends across the pond at least had events with real live Doctor Who people to meet at FCC Birmingham and Whooverville 13, Abominable Snowmen BFI excitement, and most importantly, our thoughts on Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power, and even more importantly still a pristine copy of William Shatner in his 1978 performance of Elton John’s “Rocket Man” in pristine 3/4-inch U-matic quality! All of which is mere lead in to The Timelash, hashing out key (and not so key) dates in Doctor Who history so you don’t have to!

Radio Free Skaro #867 - Panic! At the Disco
Yes, the moment you’ve all waited for is happening, the official airdate for the as yet unnamed Doctor Who Centenary Special is….sometime in October. No, what we’re ACTUALLY excited about is the return of the Timelash, where we hash over decades-old minutiae to paper over the fact we have next to nothing for news to report. But we do have the conclusion of our gripping two-part commentary for “The Trial of a Time Lord”, Part Fourteen! Megabyte that modem with some carrot juice!

I love Canada!
Smug and humble?
You can be this way knowing that the USA military will protect you. So enjoy all the $$ you can spend on social spending. When the US citizens tax dollars are protecting you.
You ever think of that? That make you smug?
I just found your podcast for the Flux season. I love it! I am now going back to the beginning and listen to all the episodes. I’m in the #40s now and just got through your recap of series 3 - It’s so great to get to rewatch the series while listening to your recaps or commentary. I can’t wait to get to Capaldi, my favorite Doctor; though I think it’ll take me over a year to do so. Also, listening back to your talk about cell phones, computers, and new social media in 2006-2007 is so wild and like a step back in technology time! I’m really glad I found your podcast!
Wish I were at Galley right now but since this is the world we live in, I’ll leave a 5-star review for these guys instead. Love your podcast, love your vibe and banter (“banter” said in a PCap voice). I’ve been a DW fan since the early ’80s, and you guys keep me going through these televised-Who droughts. Keep up the great work!
