1,193 episodes

Radio Free Skaro is possibly the most popular, most prolific and charmingly irreverent (but never irrelevant) Doctor Who podcast around. Since August 2006, hosts Warren (in Vancouver, BC) and Steven (in Edmonton, AB) have provided listeners with their brand of amusing Doctor Who praise and punishment. A year later, Chris (also in Edmonton, AB) was added to the team, and The Three Who Rule were born.

Recommended by Doctor Who Magazine, Radio Free Skaro provides an entertaining and diverting listen for the diehard or casual Doctor Who fan. New episodes usually appear on Sundays, following a loose magazine format of the three hosts discussing the news and events of the past week in the worlds of Doctor Who, Torchwood, and the Sarah Jane Adventures. They have also recorded special commentary podcasts for classic series and new series episodes of Doctor Who along with interviews of some of the brightest of the Doctor Who luminaries. Radio Free Skaro is also the official podcast of Gallifrey One, the world’s largest and longest-running annual Doctor Who convention.

Thasmin Returns! That’s right, Jodie Whittaker and Mandip Gill are back in audio form in just announced Big Finish adventures, just one of the many highlights of a busy week of Who news, including a Doctor Who panel at San Diego Comic Con, D23 without Who content, and detente has been reached as Doctor Who’s Russell T Davies and Star Trek guy-in-charge Alex Kurtzman share a panel at SDCC title “Inaugural Intergalactic Friendship Day!”! A shocking lack of Farscape and Starlost representation, but here we are. Also even more audio news, Susan Twist materializing at Gallifrey One, and an interview with Doctor Who Blu-Ray High One and Nothing at the End of the Lane creator Richard Bignell!

With the end of Season One of Doctor Who, the Three Who Rule fall back on old habits (not unlike a certain showrunner) and return to the fertile fields of Fluid Links! Nothing will be solved but a whole lot will be discussed as they blather in a confused fashion about questions sent in by you, the viewer! Plus some new information about upcoming spin-off The War Between the Land and the Sea, pondering on the very nature of a modern Doctor Who showrunner, some very quick cogitating as Marvel returns to Hall H at San Diego Comic-Con, and more!

Radio Free Skaro #966 - My Empire of Dirt

The moment has arrived for the Doctor, Millie and their big fluffy dog Sutekh as the universe gets dusted, mysteries are solved to varying degrees of success, and the Three Who Rule reach unforetold levels of Grumpy Old Man-ism as they discuss “Empire of Death”, the finale to Doctor Who, Season 1! What did they think of the first finale of the RTD2 era? Were their memories jogged by a certain cramped TARDIS? Who’s pointing at what, and why? Abase yourselves, insects, and find out!

Radio Free Skaro #965 - Abase Yourself, You Groveling Insect

It’s the penultimate episode of Doctor Who Season 1 and the mysteries are piling up in UNIT HQ! Who or what is Susan Twist? What about the cloaked lady who may or may not be Ruby’s mum? Why in the name of all the gods in the pantheon is Sutekh causing trouble and blinged out in Disney finery? The Three Who Rule don’t have the answers but they do have baseless speculation and a bunch of irrelevant Classic Who references to tide us over until next week! Plus some book and comic and Big Finish stuff but let’s be real…..SUTEKH’S BACK!

DALEK FILTERS?

What if they do a episode with Just dalek voices! I think that would be really funny

The real Ken Caslis ,

Long time listener but please.

Listener for many many years, I only have one complaint ….please please don’t talk so much about politics (if it’s a part of an episodes story line that’s ok). I’m a 60 year old conservative with a heart. Evil does not come from only one party…BOTH have much to account for.
