On the Doctrine Matters Podcast, I talk about primary, secondary, and tertiary doctrines found in Scripture in an easy to understand format. I also spend time discussing current events going on in the world from a Biblical perspective. This podcast will help not only the deep thinker in theology, but it will help the layperson in any Church understand some of the more difficult things we find in the Scriptures. The podcast was formed to run everything both Biblical and current events in our world through a Biblical lens to give God glory, exalt Christ, and encourage one another.

Roe Vs. Wade Overturned Now What?

What a day for unborn babies! Many will now get a chance to live, but what does this mean moving forward? Is abortion over? What do we do now? What do we do with people that disagree with this decision? How do Christians respond?

Let's celebrate today, but realize there is work to be done.

    Lazarus and Pride Month

    Lazarus and Pride Month

The month of June is known as "Pride Month," and on this episode of the Doctrine Matters Podcast I break down a Progressive thinking "Pastors" thoughts on Lazarus in John chapter 11.

I also offer a challenge as to how we should respond to those caught up in the LGBTQ+ movement, and how not to respond.

    What this Means For Women

    What this Means For Women

It seems that all of the world focused their attention on the recent trial of Amber Heard and Johnny Depp. For days, people tuned in to hear the recount of the couples lives. Recently, the verdict was in. Johnny Depp seemed to win the defamation claim, but it was Amber Heards statement afterward that was the springboard to this episode. Not only did the trial heard round the world happen.

During this trial the Southern Baptist Convention released a nearly 300 page document detailing sexual and physical abuse allegations against pastors and Church leaders. How are we to respond to women that make physical/sexual abuse allegations? How are we to respond to men that make the same type of allegations?

I believe the Bible helps us understand how to handle this type of situation. I would love to hear your comments.

    Do you agree or disagree?

    The Problem With Men

    The Problem With Men

There is a problem, and it starts with men, because men are a problem. Our culture is full of men who do not act like men. This was brought to my attention after attending an even recently. The lack of Godly men in our culture is not only sad, it's sickening.

We need men to be men. We need Christian men to be men, to act like men, and take care of their God given duties as men, and as Christians.

On this episode I reflect on our culture full of men that act like children and the need for men to grow up not more than ever.

    Forgiveness and the Human Heart

    Forgiveness and the Human Heart

Forgiveness is something we all want when we fail. Whenever we sin against others we want them to forgive us, but forgiveness is not always something we want to give. Sometimes we put stipulations on granting someone forgiveness whether it's waiting to see if the forgiveness is genuine or if they were really serious by seeking forgiveness.

The problem with this is that Jesus didn't tell us to put stipulations on forgiveness, He simply told us to forgive. On this episode we will discuss forgiveness, the human heart, and our need to be obedient to Scripture. Our obedience, or lack thereof has major Biblical consequences.

Sin is Easy, Do Hard Things

Sin is Easy, Do Hard Things

On this episode of the Doctrine Matters Podcast I am going to talk briefly about some things going on in the world today, and then I want to look at a passage of Scripture and the implications it has on us today.

The ultimate goal for this episode is to see all of the things in our world that is sin, and how easy it is to do these things, but how tough it seems to be to follow Christ. Regardless of how tough it is, it's always better to do hard things when it comes to our Christian life.
