Doing The Work with Karlee Fain The Farrynheight Podcast

    • Business

Doing the work, for me, means showing up. It means putting in the effort and the hours not just complaining about what you want to accomplish or who you want to be, but actually putting in the focus, the hours, the effort, the heart, and the passion towards accomplishing or working towards your goal.
Today, me and my guest, Karlee Fain, are going to unpack this idea of doing the work and how you can use it, both as an individual as well as an entrepreneur to really accomplish what you want. We’re talking about getting messy, getting your hands dirty, and putting in the work to accomplish all of your dreams, while at the same time, finding the place and the time to slow down, and pause frequently – which can really be the actual hard work for motivated individuals.
Karlee has toured the country as the personal health coach to Lil Wayne, her clients are across MTV, they've won Grammy Awards, they're some of the biggest entrepreneurs, celebrities, and influencers in this country - and today, she focuses her time working with incredibly powerful strong women who want to develop in their career, both personally and professionally.
As the founder of Every Body Thrive, her mission is to show busy people how to do less and receive more. Hustle is outdated and not sustainable, and real success in your career, body, and relationships comes from a rich soulful place that is about learning to take care of your needs, get rest, and discover your unique passions and purpose.
Tune in to this episode of Farryn Height Podcast, to learn how to courageously stop hustling for a moment to realize what is actually important for you and step into a new world where you do true work, instead of busy work.
Some questions I ask:
What has been your journey, and how you landed where you are today? (02:13)What are your thoughts on this global pause? Do you think it will make a really positive impact as we think about what comes next? (07:13)What was an example for you of when something got hard? (12:59)For an entrepreneur or someone who is thinking about taking a leap and making a change, what advice would you give them? (35:35)What is egg wisdom? (42:29)What do you value most? (45:35)
In this episode, you’ll learn:
The importance of taking frequent pauses from your work & how to find the time to do that. (02:54)Debunking the myth that if we slow down, things fall apart. (05:34)The three H’s of COVID-19. (08:34)What the ‘fertile void’ entails. (10:14)Our career is not our identity & The myth of work-life balance.
