For 30 years, New York's legendary Comedy Cellar has served as the launching pad for greatest stand up comedians in the world. Colin Quinn, Dave Chappelle, Ray Romano, Dave Attell, Chris Rock, Jon Stewart, Dane Cook, Robert Kelly and Greg Giraldo are just a few of the comedians who began as Cellar regulars. But classic stage performances have never been the only show going on at the Cellar. The biggest comedians in the world come to sit at the table upstairs, where comedians come to argue and discuss the events of the day and their lives, sharpening their their comedy knives on each other. This kibitzing (an inspiration for Comedy Central's Tough Crowd), has always been a private affair... until now. Join us for a weekly peek into the happenings at the Comedy Cellar's comedian table, where the funniest people in the world debate and discuss. Subscribe now and don't miss a second of it. We would love to hear your comments. Email them to podcast@comedycellar.com
Noam is against free speech

After inviting a guest on the show Noam often doesn’t let them finish a sentence let alone a complete thought - especially if he disagrees. It is rude and obnoxious -but most of all it’s tiresome to listen to - and so I shut it off. The latest show was probably the worst one to date (of those I listened to). I am also often appalled at how disrespectful he is to his cohost employees but I understand they have to just take it. It’s a shame because the topics and guests can be interesting. If Noam listened to his own podcast - or read a transcript perhaps he would be embarrassed and change his behavior (sadly, maybe not).

Huge spectrum of perspectives
14/12/2024
Some people are complaining because the guest opinions they heard hurt their ears. Yes that’s the point. Noam Dworman brings on guests for and against things he disagrees with and models civil debate. In this perspective, I wish I had his skills. When he right and informed about an issue, he manages to demonstrate it so well and methodically, but also kindly to his guest. I really feel like this is one of the few podcasts that are capable of actually changing opinions.
Exceptional

I find Noam’s perspective incredibly insightful and erudite. He often has a take that is counter to my leanings and is one of the only people that consistently makes me see the other side of the argument. Dan, of course, is one of the funniest people on the planet, his comments are gold. And Periel and Noam’s embattled ‘married couple’ status is always a good source of entertainment. Always love this podcast esp when they release more than one a week.
