I am an astrophysics hobbyist and not a scientist by any means, and this podcast is perfect for someone like me. The guests are so interesting and smart and bring so many cool stories/insights, and Paul does a great job of breaking down complicated concepts for the audience.
Lovely podcast

What a gem of a podcast. Should really be called ‘The Astrophysicist Podcast’ because the stars of the show (no pun intended) are the physicists he interviews. Yes, they get to some really interesting physics topics, but the joy of the podcast is in getting a sense of the personality of the scientist he’s interviewing. He’s a natural, casual interviewer who has a real connection with the colleague he’s talking with. So much real humor and insight in every episode. Also love that he seems to highlight female scientists. A great podcast for anyone, but for a young female aspiring scientist, this would be even more impactful. Keep up the great work!!

I am not a scientist by any means, I work at a plants nursery, but this stuff is so cool. I never took physics in highschool, but I like learning about space and it’s fun to learn how it works out there. I’m adding this to my weekly bedtime podcast rotation for sure.
A great addition to my collection

A great first episode! Host ensures that everything is explained so even a layperson understands what is being discussed. I hope that he can continue to have quality guests like Dr. Polin!
