Dr. Singla: tips on taking risks, building resilience while fighting a chronic illness

Dr. Tamara Beckford Show

How do you become more resilient in the face of uncertainty and sickness?

If you’ve ever had that question, tune in to this conversation with Dr. Singla.

Dr. Saimun Singla is a triple board-certified physician specializing in pediatric rheumatology and integrative medicine. Her story is unique because she was diagnosed with rheumatoid arthritis AFTER becoming an attending rheumatologist, causing a few career pivots.

Dr. Singla attended medical school at the University of North Texas in Ft. Worth, TX. She completed her general pediatrics residency at the University of Chicago, and pediatric rheumatology fellowship at Texas Children’s Hospital in Houston, TX. She’s also board certified in Integrative Medicine through the University of Arizona Andrew Weil Center for Integrative Medicine.

Her pain points as both a patient and doctor led her to found Rheum to Grow, a private medical practice where she helps children and adolescents with autoimmune conditions achieve faster disease control, less disease flares, less reliance on pharmaceuticals, and realistic coping strategies to build resilience in the face of life-long illnesses.
