Buckle up, Star Wars enthusiasts, as we mark our 100th episode of Duel of the Rings with a spectacular debate and review of Ahsoka's part five! We are thrilled to have the company of our old friend Charlie, who enlightens us about his intriguing endeavors in cryptocurrencies, energy conservation, and homeschooling. Sharing the mic with him is Christian Aidenson, a dedicated viewer, joining us for an introspective discussion on Ahsoka's face-off with her master in the world between worlds and her emotional flashback journey through the Clone War.
We get down to brass tacks with Charlie, as we dissect the latest chapter of Star Wars: The Bad Batch, scrutinizing the characters and their portrayals. The heat turns up as we ruminate on the role of special effects and Carson Tiva's commendable performance as the wingman. We don't pull our punches when it comes to Ahsoka's character development either. We explore her inner conflict as a soldier, her controversial Clone Wars costume, and the enigmatic power of the world between worlds. The question lingers: did Ezra save Ahsoka from Vader, or was it Anakin himself?
As we tread towards the end of this special episode, we engage in a spirited discussion about the character of Balan, and whether Disney should have kicked off with a live-action Star Wars show. We don't shy away from the controversy surrounding Hayden Christensen's performance in the prequels and the mysteries of Balan's connection to the forest. Def NOT milktoast
DotR categorical ranking system is fool proof! If you ever wondered how your favorite Star Wars movie stacks up against the rest, look no further! Amanda and Brody (and Charlie and Christian) create such fun and civil discourse around Star Wars, you can’t help but shout ROGER ROGER at a take so hot it’ll melt a planet with twin suns!
It’s ight
I’m here for it. Caught myself LOL.
Milquetoast Younglings
Recently added this show to my playlist. I appreciate that they will give hard scores and have developed categories for those scores. Their civil discourse when they disagree and the counter arguing is a great example of how SW fans should be discussing things. Star Wars is all about “fun” and that goes for the discourse of it as well.
I also really appreciate them bringing back the word “milquetoast” into discourse.. an often underrated term.
So add these younglings (as in the age of their podcast and that they are younger than me) to your weekly listens and see if you agree or disagree with their rankings.
