திருப்பாடல்கள் 3: 1-8 (The Book of Psalms)

காலை மன்றாட்டு

(தாவீதின் புகழ்ப்பா; தம் மகன் அப்சலோமிடமிருந்து தப்பியோடிய போது அவர் பாடியது) [*]

1 ஆண்டவரே, என் எதிரிகள் எவ்வளவாய்ப் பெருகிவிட்டனர்!
என்னை எதிர்த்து எழுவோர் எத்தனை மிகுந்து விட்டனர்!

2 'கடவுள் அவனை விடுவிக்கமாட்டார்' என்று
என்னைக் குறித்துச் சொல்வோர் பலர். 

3 ஆயினும், ஆண்டவரே, நீரே எனைக் காக்கும் கேடயம்;
நீரே என் மாட்சி; என்னைத் தலைநிமிரச் செய்பவரும் நீரே.

4 நான் உரத்த குரலில் ஆண்டவரிடம் மன்றாடுகின்றேன்;
அவர் தமது திருமலையிலிருந்து எனக்குப் பதிலளிப்பார். 

5 நான் படுத்துறங்கி விழித்தெழுவேன்;
ஏனெனில், ஆண்டவரே எனக்கு ஆதரவு.

6 என்னைச் சூழ்ந்திருக்கும் பல்லாயிரம் பகைவருக்கு
நான் அஞ்சமாட்டேன்.

7 ஆண்டவரே, எழுந்தருளும்;
என் கடவுளே, என்னை மீட்டருளும்;
என் எதிரிகள் அனைவரையும் கன்னத்தில் அறையும்!
பொல்லாரின் பல்லை உடையும்!

8 விடுதலை அளிப்பவர் ஆண்டவர்;
அவர்தம் மக்களுக்கு ஆசி வழங்குவாராக!
