Scholarships are about to look a lot different in college sports, as the NCAA prepares to change its business model
-Football Scoop reported yesterday that as soon as today, the NCAA may have approval for $2.7 billion in back pay for former athletes, and a formal payroll of $20million+ for current athletes
-We know power conference commissioners are preparing for 105 players on rosters (down from the current 120) but all 105 will be eligible for scholarships---up from the long-standing limit of 85
-This would create some partial scholarships, and also would increase scholarships in volleyball (from 4.5 to 18); baseball (from 11.7 to all 34); and softball (from 12 to 25)

B1G Media Days is a wrap from Indianapolis, and the Three-Legged Stool is BACK together…what’s the storyline from Day 3?
-We had full Nebraska day on Wednesday, and yesterday we heard from Oregon, Washington, Indiana, Michigan, Minnesota and Maryland
-In case you didn’t know---Washington, last year’s runner-up---has 46 new scholarship players and only one returning starter back. That’s significant. And Dan Lanning was oozing confidence in his squad for Oregon, rightfully so
-Also, ROLL CALL (sponsored by Madsen’s Bowling & Billiards): where are people listening from today?

Keep up the husker talk
Keep Bill Busch forever. He’s good at this!
Sports show?
I think this podcast is mislabeled as a sports pod. They rarely talk about sports and when they do they usually acknowledge that they didn’t watch the games they talk about.
I despise idle chitchat
About 2/3 of the show is idle chitchat. The little bit of actual meaningful content that they have, I enjoy.
