The Christian path is not for the faint of heart; the ravenous enemy stalks and prowls day and night. Indeed, the stronger the faith, the harder the chase. However, we do not have to wait until death to see the Lord's goodness. He is the God of the living.

Textbooks and technology can only take us so far. Chasing manmade theories to find truth leads to more theories. Going down rabbit holes to find truth leads to deeper rabbit holes. Man can educate himself, but what is creativity without meaning, technology without noble purpose, information without understanding, or education without a calling?

How many years did we waste in the world? How many years do we have left to dedicate to God? Without clear direction, how do we know which way to go? Sometimes, we cannot clearly see God’s plan. Apostle Paul described this type of uncertainty as looking through a glass darkly. We have limited sight distance now, but all mysteries will be revealed.

How do we determine if we are growing in Christ? Will the Lord find us in the nursery or the soda shop? Has our relationship with the Lord developed over the years, or have we become stagnant? Brothers and sisters, we gauge our growth by God’s Word.

Only the Lord can make us whole. Without him, we are dirty, leaky cups. Trying to fill the emptiness with fornication, social media, marijuana, or vain religion only widens the cracks in our vessels. On the other hand, Jesus fills those who hunger and thirst after righteousness.

People serve false Christs they conjure in their minds to suit their generation. Americans have followed the Hippy Jesus, the Purpose-Driven Jesus, the Prosperity Jesus, and the Hipster Jesus. The new and inclusive Gen-Z Jesus does not require rebirth, conversion, or transformation. Do you follow the real Jesus?
