Sacred Realms: A Zelda Retrospective Podcast

I started this podcast about 5 months ago, and I’m strictly going in order and playing along so by the time I finish it, I sadly think you guys will be done (but hopefully you’ll find some way to keep it going, maybe you already have, I’m stuck in mid-2022 so idk). Currently finishing up my playthrough of BOTW with you guys, and listening to your podcast has reinvigorated my love of the series. Hopefully you guys haven’t had any dramatic personality changes in the past two years because I’ll be sorely disappointed when I catch up. Keep up the good work, pours of Pappy on me if you guys are ever in Columbus, OH. Cheers!

The title says it all. Longtime listeners may remember my review as being one of their first sub-5 star reviews due to their (then) occasional political commentary. (There was a brief stint where the Willoughbys repeatedly harangued my review.) I have recently returned to the show, and I was pleasantly surprised to find that they have seemed to have shifted to all Zelda. This evidences their commitment to, week after week, deliver an OUTSTANDING product to their listeners. I promise you that if you love Zelda, you will not find a better podcast out there. The icing on the cake is that they’re a couple of good ole, Texas boys who love a good glass of bourbon. When it comes to Texas siblings, the Willoughby brothers are second only to the Garrison Brothers. It is with great pleasure that I rescind my previous review and add an extremely well-deserved 5-star review to their arsenal. I look forward to listening to the episodes I missed, and I hope that we can let bygones be bygones.

Thank you Lyndon and Matt for creating such a great show. Your knowledge and insight is balanced well by your humor and banter. I’ve been a long time gamer but somehow didn’t get into Zelda until this past year and your show has made it easy to get through the entire series. I am excited that you’re now covering Majora’s Mask because it’s easily my favorite in the series. Also I got your back Lyndon, I personally prefer the 3DS versions of OOT and Majoras Mask. I have recently played both N64 and 3DS versions and I don’t have any nostalgia for either. So take that with a grain of salt. I think the graphical enhancements and the quality of life improvements make it a no brainer. Thank you both again for bringing a couple hours of joy to people every week and… “May the way of the hero lead you to the triforce.” - Andrew B
