The future of our environment is uncertain, it's unclear where to start, or if it even matters... But it's ok!! We're fine. Everything is fine. We promise?! Michelle is a mom of two, desperate to help make a better world for her children, and doesn't understand how everyone seems to be so calm about the state of the world?!? Courtney, usually the optimist, feels the environmental pressure behind every decision. IT'S A LOT.
In their efforts to turn hopelessness into hope, every month they take on a new sustainability challenge consisting of four parts: Assess, Implement, Outreach, and interview/conclusion. Join them as they deep dive into the science, philosophical, political and societal aspects behind environmentalism... listen as they laugh through their anxiety spirals, keep each other company through failed challenges, and find out how to survive living through sustainability!

Episode 8 - Interview with Farmer David about Food Waste, Farming and More!
Our interview this month is with Farmer David Haakenson of Jubilee Farms in Carnation, Washington! We wanted to get his take on food waste, the supply chain, and humans' relationship with their food and how we can make a difference. We even get into composting and soil composition (FACINATING - we say that a lot in this episode.) Make sure to keep an ear out for all the Star Wars references.
