    Harrison Ford - 1989

    It's a monumental day in the elevator as we're joined by one of our favorites...a treasure hunting pilot, cardio-vascular surgeon on the run, Working Guy, CIA family man who's just an analyst, Amish-curious carpenter, and Mosquito Coast inhabitant HARRISON FORD. But first, Tanner bangs out the fastest three minutes in movies, reviewing Ford's new Marvel film: Captain America: Brave New World. Then, we discuss Ford's late 80s/early 90s heater chalk full of character driven (cool guys in tweed blazers) thrillers. Finally we pitch in the year 1989 (49:40) and dream cast Ford into our own 90s masterpiece that'll surely play on TNT for years to come.

    Nora Ephron - 2000

    Pack your bouquet of freshly sharpened pencils and meet us on the top of the Empire State Building because it's Nora Ephron week in the elevator. That's right. For Valentine's Day we're pitching to the great writer, director, novelist, and kitchen map enthusiast. But first, a quick chat about a new trailer that piqued our interest. Then a discussion on Ephron's legacy and background as a filmmaker. Finally, we pitch to Nora hot off You've Got Mail in the year 2000 (44:11) - just before the genre she helped pioneer takes a turn for the...worse?

    Monkey Movies (with Gerry Kenah)

    It will be a podcast of the apes...cause it's finally monkey week here in the elevator. We're joined by our pal GERRY KENAH (AFTV) to discuss the music biopic BETTER MAN and debate whether the decision to make a film about British pop star Robbie Williams portrayed as a CGI monkey works. Then we try to list any time an ape, chimp, orangutan, or capuchin has graced the silver screen (30:12). Why? Because somebody's gotta do the work. Oh yeah...we also pitch our own monkey movies and it goes really really well (46:45). Maybe too well. You see, the monkeys have taken Tanner. He wants to live with them now.

    FLIGHT RISK and Plane Movies

    Today we're taking this elevator 30,000 feet in the air but MARK BALDBERG IS TRYING TO TAKE US DOWN. That's right. We're talking FLIGHT RISK. We start off the jump with some puzzling movie news. Then we discuss the #1 movie at the box office (9:50). We then move right into some of our favorite plane movies and the aero dynamic sub-genres they fall into (27:38). And finally...we take to the skies and pitch plane movies in any year we'd like (51:20). This is not a podcast to miss. The next one takes off tomorrow at 6 AM and your bags are already on board.

First, we consider how this quite traditional gothic melodrama fits into the modern film landscape. Then, we gab about our fave flicks from the silent German expressionism era.     Who? You read that right . We're in the elevator with one of the greatest living directors, HOT off his latest gem...Kraven The Hunter. Ladies and gentlemen, its JC Chandor. First, we weave some Kraven talk into a larger discussion about far more notable Chandorian titles such as Margin Call, Triple Frontier, and All Is Lost. Then Matt talks way to much about Triple Frontier. And finally, before Tanner shuts the whole damn thing down, the fellas pitch to Chandor smack in the middle of Kraven post-production.
