Episode 316

I am a Neurotologist and my son is starting his ED training. He sent me this episode with Peter John which I just listened to. I have heard many people lecture on vertigo, including on evaluation in the ED, and this was the best discussion of this topic I have come across. It is rare that I agree with everything I hear people say on this topic, and rare not to find some outright errors and misinformation, but this discussion is exceptional in that and many other respects. It was truly outstanding in its accuracy, practical advice and concision, and I would recommend it for all ED, Neurology and OTO residents and practitioners. Congratulations and thank you for providing such an important service. David J. Eisenman, MD Dept. Relevant to all CC/EM providers

Listening to EmCrit through the years as an ER nurse, now with 5+ years in a high acuity department and transitioning to the flight nurse role, I consistently find the FOAM/topics presented to be relevant to my practice and it feeds my hunger for continuing education. I feel that listening to SW helps me communicate my differentials/treatments in the pre-hospital environment during handoff and helps me advocate/discuss plans of care with my attendings in the ED. The yearly membership is well worth it, don’t sleep on it if you can swing it!!

Used to be a great resource. Now it’s an audio snippet behind a paywall. Unsubscribed.
