Creepy Cove Community Church Podcast

I’m a Sci-Fi/Fantasy/Horror geek who was raised by an atheist and an agnostic. Later in life, I realized my own views are Unitarian, though I’m still not keen on organized religion. The Creepy Cove Community Church is absolutely wonderful for me and people like me.

I wasn’t expecting to enjoy this, but I listened to it anyway, because I liked the other podcasts that Peter Laws has produced (especially “Our Curious Past”). But this is unlike any other show I’ve ever seen or heard. It’s funny, creative, weird, and yes, even inspiring. Now l’m binging on it. Where else can I celebrate both Halloween and Christmas at the same time? (April Fools gets thrown in at no extra charge.) Definitely worth checking out to see if it’s your cup of tea.

The only thing creepy about this show is how it bills itself as a horror podcast, but it's actually a bait-and-switch to sell you some god. Luckily it appears to be defunct now. As someone who lives in the American South, the accents are distracting and not well done.

If you love horror and comedy, then you’ll love this pod. There are quirky (and recognizable) characters, macabre hymns with a comic flair, and an uplifting message that’s relatable to everyone, whether you have faith in God or not. I always feel better after listening to to these.
