Proper worship clarifies life. - When you are just waking up it is hard to think clearly or even interpret information, let alone make big decisions. Often we need to go through a pattern or get some coffee into us before we start to think clearly and have the groggy fog lift. We often face that same fog when God starts speaking to us, and the only way to lift the fog and see what He is saying clearly, is to worship Him.

If you're trapped, play dead. - Sometimes our behaviours are traps in themselves, and sometimes the circumstances of life leave us trapped. We all know what it feels like to be trapped though. It's one of those feelings that can drown out everything else and leave you completely crippled. This happens especially in those situations where you don't think anyone will ever be able to save you. We know Jesus can reach us wherever we are, but the rescue requires something significant from us...

When you stop fighting for the lost, you get lost. - Life is busy and there are lots of things trying to get our attention. It is easy to get distracted, but it is also easy to simply start thinking that we are here for our own pleasure and benefit. We forget that we are here to take care of each other and we are here to fight for the lost. When we start living like that, we end up doing huge amounts of damage to others and to ourselves. Actually, when we start living like that, we can end up in a worse situation than the lost.

Let God handle everyone else; You need to just focus on what God is trying to tell you. - It is a very natural response to celebrate when your enemies get what they deserve. The sense of justice is very nice and it makes you feel vindicated. And sometimes when we are facing pain, we anxiously wait for our enemies to be in pain too. Yet, these reactions don't seem to fit with what God desires. Even though justice can be a very good thing, God wants to give mercy more than justice. And God wants us to react differently too.
Let God handle everyone else; You need to just focus on what God is trying to tell you.

When you meet the living Christ something real happens to you. - Everything about Christianity hinges on Jesus rising from the dead. If that didn't happen, there is no point following Jesus. If that did happen, then nothing else matters. That is the key element we must face and deal with. When we examine the evidence, we have very good reasons to believe Jesus is actually alive today!

Get the Boss involved. - Throughout Jesus' ministry He showed that He was in charge wherever He went. He proved He had total authority over this world and the next. He even proved He had authority over sin and death! When we face things that are over our heads, it's always a good idea to get Jesus involved because He has authority to fix it.
