Engaging Underrepresented Communities (Part 1)

In our latest episode of "Empowering Texas Voters: A Journey Through Voting Issues," we had the honor of hosting Derek Avery, a passionate advocate for engaging underrepresented communities in Dallas. Together, we explored the definition of these communities, the barriers they face in participating in elections, and strategies for amplifying their voices in the electoral process. Derek shed light on the disparities in resources and infrastructure that impact underrepresented neighborhoods, highlighting the challenges they encounter in having their voices heard and needs addressed. We delved into the significant barriers that hinder their full participation in the electoral process and examined the impact of these obstacles on their ability to exercise their voting rights effectively.
