He has held visiting positions at Oxford, the University of Illinois, Carnegie Mellon University, and the University of Pennsylvania. He earned his undergraduate and Master’s degrees in electrical engineering, along with his PhD, all from the University of Melbourne. Witold Jachimczyk manages the Computer Vision and Automated Driving development teams at MathWorks. Before MathWorks, he worked at Data Translation developing machine vision software and at Polaroid on embedded systems. Witold holds a B.S. and an M.S. in electrical engineering from Worcester Polytechnic Institute. Remo Pillat is the MathWorks development manager for the robotics and autonomous systems group, which focuses on providing a set of robust algorithms and simulation tools for autonomous ground vehicles, robot manipulators, and UAVs. Prior to joining MathWorks, Remo’s research at the University of Central Florida (UCF) focused on multisensor fusion, state estimation, and environment modeling for autonomous ground vehicles.     CFD Combustion Modeling - Rob Bastiaans | Podcast #134

    Rob Bastiaans is an Associate Professor in the Department of Mechanical Engineering, Eindhoven University of Technology (TU/e). In this capacity, he is also Chairman of the Dutch Section of the Combustion Institute and Chairman of the workgroup on Fuel Flexibility and Emissions of ETN (European Turbine Network). His teaching at TU/e revolves around mechanical Engineering, modelling combustion and sustainable energy sources. Rob’s areas of expertise include fluid mechanics, modeling and simulation, computational fluid dynamics, numerical simulation, numerical modeling, numerical analysis and CFD simulation. Current research includes the performance of flamelet generated manifolds (FGM) in premixed turbulent cases, measuring burning velocities with the heat flux method and FGM and pre-assumed PDF's In LES of combustion. Upcoming projects will look at complicated diffusion and combustion design.
