Our guest, Michael Hope PT, Dip, MDT graduated with a degree in physical therapy from the University of Pittsburgh in 1991. He obtained his undergraduate degree in exercise physiology from West Virginia University in 1988. Michael started working for Summit Physical Therapy in 1995. He then became a co-owner of Summit Physical Therapy in 2002. Michael became certified in Mechanical Diagnosis and Therapy in 1991. Additionally, he is a McKenzie Diplomate. Michael has taken many continuing education courses in orthopedics, sports rehabilitation, and surgical rehabilitation. Michael specializes in treating challenging patients that have shoulder, knee, or spine conditions that have previously failed to progress in physical therapy. Michael trained college and professional football players in performance enhancement skills (including West Virginia Mountaineers, the University of Pittsburgh, and the Pittsburgh Steelers). He has treated high school, college, and professional athletes from all over the world. Outside of work, Michael enjoys running and spending time with his family.
