Starting with his early days as Playboy Mikey D, he shared his evolution with Mikey D and the LA Posse, including his infamous victory over Melle Mel at the 1988 New Music Seminar Battle for World Supremacy. Mikey opened up about the rumored rivalry with LL Cool J, his unexpected writing credit on Madonna's "Human Nature," and his time as a member of the Canadian rap group Main Source. We also discussed his latest single, "Over 50!," and the idea of a new subgenre for Hip-Hop veterans, dubbed "Adult Contemporary Hip-Hop" or "Grown Man Rap."
