Ep. 2 The Envy of Socialism and the Moral Case for Property Rights

Discussions With Dill

In this episode of Power Over People I discuss my opinion on the moral case for property rights and the green monster of envy so common in socialism. We go into detail about how slavery used to be protected under property rights and how it wouldn't have ended if not for a moral people. The Democratic Party was founded by Andrew Jackson and he was its first elected president. It was a pro-slavery party who wanted to protect slave owners from the abolitionists, or those who wanted to free the slaves. It wasn't until Lincoln was elected as the first Republican president in the newly formed anti-slavery party that the slaves were freed. Capitalism is the free exercise of your resources, or property.
