Ep. 201 - Mark 13:14-23 | The Abomination of Desolation | Aaron Ventura Reformation Roundtable

    • Religion & Spirituality

We continue to work through Mark 13 with a desire to understand more clearly what the Lord Jesus prophesied about the Great Tribulation. In this teaching we strive toward answering the question, "What is The Abomination of Desolation?" After setting the groundwork with a study of the language and the historical context, Pastor Aaron Venture presents the congregation with three possible interpretations of the text:
Proposal 1 - The Abomination of Desolation refers to the ending of sacrifices in the temple by foreigners in 66 A.D.
Proposal 2 - The Abomination of Desolation is the completed construction of the Jewish temple and persecution of Christians in 64 A.D.
Proposal 3 - The Abomination of Desolation refers to the martyrdom of James the Just in 62 A.D.
