Ep. 249: How The My Beauty Kit App Is Helping You Slay Your Beauty Routine Like A Pro! - Shay Bailey

On this week’s episode of the Friends in Beauty podcast I welcome Shay Bailey to the Friends in Beauty guest chair. Shay is an accomplished professional in the beauty and consumer tech sectors, with a robust background in corporate beauty operations, sales, and artistry. After obtaining her Bachelor's degree from Oakland University, Shay embarked on her career in the beauty industry. She gained valuable experience working with LaChae Cosmetics and freelancing as an independent makeup artist and beauty educator before dedicating 13 years to M.A.C Cosmetics.

In 2019, Shay founded her beauty and brand development consultancy, Shay B. Beautiful LLC, which can be explored at www.shaybbeautiful.com. After a successful year supporting various brands and creative service providers, ShayB expanded its offerings to include the development of a consumer tech brand, My Beauty Kit. This new venture led to the launch of the My Beauty Kit Mobile app in 2023.

In addition to her consultancy work, Shay is committed to empowering beauty industry professionals seeking to start or scale their careers through her resource hub, The Beautyprint.

Moreover, Shay passionately led "The Be Beautiful Project," an initiative focused on helping young girls establish healthy habits around beauty and self-care. Through her efforts, Shay continues to make a significant impact in the beauty community and beyond.

During our chat we talked about how she’s working with the Detroit Pistons dancers, the development of My Beauty Kit and the app features, how she partners with brands, having longevity in beauty beyond working with clients, and so much more.
