‘Living with Ovarian Cancer Podcast’ is full of inspiring stories told by people who are living with or have a connection with Ovarian Cancer. Each person’s story is a gift; unique and is told from the heart in their own words. I am your host, Diane Evans-Wood.
In this episode I talk to Gemma Coleman, a young woman living with Endometrioid Uterine and Ovarian Cancer in Manchester. Gemma has a very powerful story to tell of being your best advocate and trusting your intuition when something feels wrong. It was a long-crooked road to diagnosis for Gemma which seems to be a very common issue for many of us. We also talk about so much more in this episode including Endometriosis, anxiety and what helped Gemma, insomnia, the new normal, infertility and where to find support. I have provided a link below for the Shine Cancer Support website which is where Gemma accessed the Shine “Breakout” programme on-line.
Gemma is a true inspiration, and I am very grateful to her for spending so much time with me to share her story; especially as she is currently going through chemotherapy at present. So, thank you Gemma from the bottom of my heart.
Gemma likes to run for her mental and physical wellbeing, and she is running a Marathon in aid of The Christy Hospital.
