Ep. 33 - Decentralization and Intersectionality: Building an Equitable Future w/ Paff & Riley

The Juicecast

Description:

This week, Matthew and Brileigh are joined by Paff and Riley. Paff is the co-founder of Take Up Space, a decentralized media company uplifting black, queer, and femme voices. Riley is the founder of Cloud Scouts, an onchain scout troop that helps members learn about web3 and meet like-minded people.

In this episode we dive into Riley and Paff’s backgrounds and what they’re building at the intersection of web3 and social justice. We discuss the relationship between decentralization and intersectionality, building community in a sustainable way, and how crypto rails can lead to a more equitable future. They also tell us about their Pride Telethon project on Juicebox for which they hosted a 12-hour Twitter Space with all funds raised going towards queer creators and builders that appeared throughout the telethon. This conversation was recorded over a month ago, so the context of some subjects may have changed.
