When Frank and Allison Contreras asked Cassie Jo Stoddart, their 16-year-old niece, to house sit and look after their pets for the weekend, Cassie happily obliged. Cassie enjoyed spending time at their house, which was large and in a pretty remote area. Frank and Allison also told Cassie that her boyfriend, Matt, could hang out at the house with her while they were away. Cassie was excited; she had no reason to believe anything bad would happen.
