Alive?

Only a few episodes in. I think it has great potential. I’ll say that while the production is great I’m not a big fan of some of the writing. If they could just do a few more editing passes, make some of the stories a little less campy and make more sense narratively, I think we’d have a perfect podcast on our hands. I’m gonna keep listening. And I’ll update this review if I hear some changes. Edit: I’m about 23 episodes in now. This show is so frustrating. The editing is top notch, the voice acting is really great. Some of the best. But the writing is Terrible!!! To be clear I’m speaking about the stilted and in realistic dialogue. People Don’t talk like this. It’s overly dramatic and descriptive. It’s like the author wrote a dialogue about what the character was thinking and then just stuffed those words into the characters mouths. People don’t talk out there internal monologue that way. And they don’t use those words. Some words might be the dictionary accurate description of a thought but that’s not the word a normal person would use when talking. Also, show emotions don’t tell them. There are so many well written narrative horror shows out there. I would love to hear some of these talented voices on Dark Heights or Dead Air or A voice from Darkness, Creepy, the antiquarium. Really great horror fiction podcasts. This was just a waste. With a good editor this would’ve been amazing. I don’t think I’ll continue listening.

I accidentally discovered this podcast and was hooked after the first episode! The stories are incredibly interesting, narrations and productions are stellar, and the actors are top notch! Combine all of this and I feel like I am there witnessing what’s happening and feel fully immersed in every story! This is hands down the best horror story podcast, so I immediately clicked on the ‘follow’ button and started to download episodes and sadly discovered that the stories ended at episode 53, October 17, 2022. What happened? Where did you guys go???? Please, please, please start back up again! You guys are incredible story tellers and I am begging you for more episodes! P.S. I seldom write a review on a podcast, but I just had to share my experience!
