And finally we go into future scenario to hypothesize what could happen to the storage site when all the people that build it are not around anymore, what precaution need to be employed to keep it safe in the unforeseen future.     In this first part of the episode we are discussing about Posiva, how the nuclear waste is generated in the power plants and its short term storage. Then we start the discussion about Posiva's plans for long term storage in their underground facilities in Olkiluoto. In there the nuclear waste is transferred from the short term storage to copper canisters that will then be welded shut and moved to the final resting place over 400 meters underground. In the next part we are discussing what happens to the canisters after they are closed and about all the testing done in the last 20 years by Posiva. I recently got a Windows mixed reality headset while Nicola has had a Valve Index for a while so we are also discussing some hardware differences and how those translate into the gaming experience. Of course then we go forward with speculation about the future of VR. Sorry about the background noises but Nicola wanted to try recording the episode while in VR and did not realized how much it would pick up the noise in the house.
