"We're just like, shoot, do we want to do this? Or do we want to take a chance on something? And the timing just kind of worked out. And so that was 2016 when we started planning and dreaming this thing. Right away from the beginning, we decided we were going to be open to minors and family friendly and that kind of thing. And so we just get a lot of community." Welcome to another episode of the Women in Beer Show. On this episode, I crack open a beer Sara Szymanksi from Threshold Brewing in Portland, Oregon. This is a really interesting one because Portland is basically the craft beer capital of the world and she kind of talks about community over competition and how to stand out in a sea of beer people essentially and how you can continue a business by just being you. I really enjoyed chatting with her and learning more about Threshold and all that they do over there in her little neck of the woods.
