J. Monique Gambles is a licensed marriage and family therapist, in Irving, Texas. She received her bachelor’s degree in social work from the University of Texas, at Arlington in 1998. She completed her Master of Science Degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from Texas Woman’s University, Denton in 2018. She also has her master’s in business administration, education, and fine arts.  

Prior to becoming a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, she taught Reading and English for 19 years and coached girls high school basketball and track & field. She has published six books: Three novels, two poetry books, and a Novella. 

 In 2023, she created a digital Magazine, The Truth About Sisterhood to encourage women from various backgrounds to explore the need for community, compassion, and understanding, while navigating intersectionality. Her goal is to break down barriers and stereotypes so that ALL women can coexist in a global sisterhood.
