Grace Church Members Podcast

The fact that Grace Church has a podcast on discipleship and shepherding is nothing more than a clanging cymbal and empty words. And frankly it is a slap in the face to those that have suffered at the hands of their spiritual abuse and bullying. The preaching from the pulpit and the practice from leaders don’t line up. Many of the “shepherding” elders will tell you that it’s not their job to shepherd. “Responsible” pastors will tell you they aren’t responsible to care for or shepherd you. We were told that if we expected leaders to be held accountable or if we expected to be shepherded than Grace was not the place for us to worship. Maybe it’s selective discipleship only reserved for those who require little sacrifice and are allowed into the special club, I don’t know. But I do know Grace leadership has no accountability structure to protect the sheep who are spiritually abused. Almost all of the staff and non staff governing elders are best friends, so you will not be protected. They have built a hedge of protection around themselves so they don’t have to be accountable to anyone. This is not true love and shepherding.
