Ep2. A Journey to Success with Carmen Pretorius

In this episode of the TSC Podcast, we are inspired by the wonderful influential and talented young actress and award winning theatre star, Carmen Pretorius.

Carmen has crafted a successful career in the english and afrikaans stage and screen industries; having commanded numerous leading musical theatre roles both locally and abroad; as well as roles on primetime TV and in film. She is a Fleur de Cap Theatre Award Winner and was recently nominated for a Naledi Award for her performance in Chicago the Musical. Her leading musical theatre credits include, Gabriella in High School Musical, Maria in Sound of Music, Roxie in Chicago, Sophie in Mamma Mia as well as Jersey Boys, Footloose, Cabaret and more. She was also seen in many film and TV productions including Isidingo The Need, Pasella, Binnelanders, Getroud met Rugby as well as Lien in Lien se Lankstaan Skoene and soon she will be in the new local film, Table Manners.

In our unforgettable conversation Carmen shares with us her journey into the performing industry, how she keeps pushing forward, the importance of setting goals and an exciting new endeavour that we can all look forward to.
