구글, 메타, 아마존과 같은 대형 테크 기업의 UX 디자이너와 엔지니어가 되기 전에 우리는 비슷한 시련과 고난을 겪은 분들의 조언을 절실히 필요로 하는 학생들이었습니다. 우리는 항상 훌륭한 멘토를 원했습니다. 갈수록 경쟁이 치열해지는 요즘 취업 시장에서 적절한 조언을 제공하고 자신의 상황에 공감할 수 있는 멘토를 찾는 것은 더욱 중요해지고 있습니다. 반면, 멘토들도 한 때 조언을 구하는 위치에 있었고, 훌륭한 멘토들한테 많은 도움을 받았던 만큼, 다음 세대에 보답해야 할 의무가 있습니다. 멘티들은 어떻게 하면 단순하게 질문과 답을 구하는 단계를 넘어서서 멘토와의 관계를 발전시킬 수 있을까요? 멘토들은 어떻게 멘티들이 경력을 잘 쌓을 수 있도록 지원할 수 있을까요?

Before we became Product Designers and Software Engineers at big tech companies like Google, Meta, and Amazon, we were students in desperate need of guidance from adults who experienced similar trials & tribulations - we always desired great mentors. In an increasingly competitive job market, it is becoming even more important to find a mentor that can empathize with your situation and provide the right guidance. On the flip side, mentors also have a sense of duty to give back to the next generation, as they were also once in a position seeking advice, and also received help from great mentors. How can mentees approach mentors to not just learn, but also cultivate a relationship that goes beyond just Q/A, and how can mentors better accommodate mentees to reach the next steps in their career?
