Since late 2020, the case of missing Sydney woman Melissa Caddick has captivated the country. A seemingly successful businesswoman from Sydney's eastern suburbs went missing after authorities raided her Dover Heights home amid questions over an unlicensed financial planning business. Sydney Morning Herald investigative journalist Kate McClymont would reveal key details of a massive Ponzi scheme and a $23 million fraud that ripped off investors including her family and friends as Caddick lived the high life of overseas trips, cars and high end fashion. The story is interesting enough to hold my attention but like many others I thought the storytelling was hard at times to listen to. I actually was ok with the male host, but the female host I could not get past… annoying voice and commentary. Melissa should have used some of that money for plastic surgery… 🫣🤐😬

Hosts are painful, they’re somehow bough arrogant and incompetent. Quote from first episode talking speculated location of fraudster: …”hiding out in a hidden room, Anne Frank style” 🤦🏻‍♀️ Can’t believe that I have to say this but… except Anne Frank was a child and (critically) not a criminal.

I couldn’t even get through the second episode. Painful. What kind of “journalist” uses words like “psychopathic” so flippantly? Are either of these fools psychologists? They’re not even journalists or writers worth being called that, so I’m guessing not. There has to be room in this story for some kind of nuance, but not with these hosts. Just. Terrible. Completely terrible.
