Love this creator. Neil, You and I have almost identical stories. I love your content. I’d love to hear more about the complexities of being a deconstructed, divorced dad of daughters.

This is the first podcast I’d recommend to someone in the deconversion process, and the first podcast I’d recommend to anyone wanting reasons why I left. Why? Because Neil succinctly summarizes many of the major problems with Christianity, but in a respectful manner. Neil isn’t the scathing atheist Christians expect. I see this podcast as a great starting point, from which one can perform additional research as they please.

Neil has been on both sides of the pew and it shows. As a former believer myself it is clear that he has an insider’s perspective, which allows him to address the arguments and concerns of evangelicals without straw-manning them in any way. For any apostate arming themselves with knowledge for tough conversations with religious family members, consider this required listening. I’ve found lots of success “planting seeds” (as baptists often say) of doubt in family and friends with epistemology and Biblical and historical knowledge. But even if you’re not a devoted dogma fighter, you’ll learn a lot of fascinating, and damning, evidence against Christianity in the critical analysis Neil brings to the table. These short-form podcasts really make my day, and I hope you’ll give it a listen!

A truly well written and thoughtful podcast about some really tough issues. Neil has a way of identifying the ironies, contradictions, and falsehoods of Christian culture that cuts deep without being rude or mean spirited.
