Murder She Spoke

I listen to a lot of true crime podcasts, but this show has quickly become one of my favorites. I love that there are so many stories I haven’t heard before being told in a way that is sensitive and respectful to victims. Also very much appreciate so many historical cases being profiled.

I’m originally from Hamilton, Scotland; lived in the US for past 21 years. Came across this podcast when a friend told me they had listened to the Amanda Duffy episode, I was in high school when that awful crime took place. It was with great sadness I listened to the episode. I very much enjoy the podcast and the sensitivity towards the subject material. The cadence of each episode bookended by a little introductory banter and then finishing with some lighthearted faire is a good approach. Well done ladies, I will continue listening

I love the rapport between the two ladies. They are compassionate when telling the story and like the funny or interesting tidbits they tell after the story to offer relief. I’m from the USA and love the accents.

Joannagh and Emma are amazing, compassionate women who bring heart to their stories. As well as being a crime junkie, I’m also something of an accent junkie, and their voices are wonderful to listen to and revel in. These stories are mainly new to me so it’s not a rehashing of the same USA based crimes keeping it feeling fresh and different. I highly recommend this podcast and think they’re only going to get better. Glad I asked for suggestions in the True Crime Podcasts FB group and Emma responded. Thanks for making me want to go to Scotland even more than I already did, ladies!
