Episode 140- The Good Son (1993)

Mark (Elijah Wood), a young boy who loses his mother, must stay with his extended family while his father is away on business. Mark becomes acquainted with his cousin Henry (Macaulay Culkin). However, the extent of Henry's depravity becomes clear when Mark sees him kill a neighbor's dog and intentionally create a traffic pileup on the highway. After a supposed mishap on an icy pond with Henry's sister Connie (Quinn Culkin), Mark tries to reveal Henry's crimes before it's too late. Host Drew has picked a very notable choice for killer kids movies from the 90's that created some shock for the world with popular child actor Macaulay Culkin! Now we have a sociopathic child, bent on getting all others out of his way and engaging in his twisted satisfactions in... "The Good Son"! This movie has some ups and downs, but you can't deny the creep factor that Culkin brings to the screen. Join us for this discussion and some fun trivia and a look into our own childhood as well! Episode 139- The Lion in Winter (1968)

It's Christmas 1183, and King Henry II (Peter O'Toole) is planning to announce his successor to the throne. The jockeying for the crown, though, is complex. Great podcast that does a lot more than reviews movies. Going through hundreds of (sub)genres with one film apiece, the creators are more than entertainers, they’re friends. Especially make sure to catch their annual “Grab Baggins” episodes where they draw the topics for the upcoming year.

I Saw It On Linden Street

Here is the beauty of Reel Feels - the hosts take films that I am very familiar with, yet I don’t necessarily enjoy or look back on with nostalgia, and still make listening to their conversation about it incredibly fun and engaging. Now that is accomplished mostly by busting each other’s chops in a good-natured way and distilling down the fun and absurdity of what is happening on the screen and tying it in to their own numerous stories and lives. By choosing genres at random and having a “grab bag style” selection of films, every week always brings an interesting and unexpected listening experience. Some podcasts cover movies, other podcasts are just plain fun- Reel Feels delivers both. Thanks Drew, Nathan & Jack.
