Welcome to episode fourteen of You Can’t Say That! A Soc 119 Podcast about the class, culture & other topics. Today’s podcast we cover Sam's teaching practices, what lessons he thinks could have gone deeper and misconceptions of the purpose behind the class. We are joined by Sam's wife, Dr. Laurie Mulvey, the Executive Director for World in Conversation and the "Doctor of Dialogue." She allows the show to get deeper by asking open ended questions to Sam to make him dig deeper into his brain. Shawn, a former Native American student from the 90's stopped into town and ran into Laurie when she was on her way to the podcast, so he joins for the second segment to talk about his experience in Soc 119 years ago.
