Football Daft

In a podcast world where saturation is occurring for all sports, especially football / soccer, this effort by ‘D list’ celebrities in Scotland, these lads cover the Scottish game and can be very humorous and a good laugh. It’s very Old Firm focused. If you struggle with barrels of bad language this isn’t for you. They don’t hold back. Grado one of the three co-hosts is miles ahead in terms of his abilities to extend his banter and be serious and respectful to the guests who come on the show. Sadly one of the hosts who balances the show as a Celtic supporter due to Grado being a Rangers fan, can’t seem to shut up about himself even when a guests is on to be interviewed. He laughs at his own jokes and frankly isn’t all that funny. All he does is talk about himself and his ‘ned’ like helium voice just grates on you after an episode or two. The third host can’t get a word in most of the time due to the Celtic fans continuing hogging of the airwaves and seems decent enough but needs more air time. The former host Ewan, the Hearts fan, was far superior and complemented Grado well. Ewan knew how to interview professionally and seemed prepared, giving a little non OF perspective and bouncing off Grados banter. Overall it’s decent but not very polished or professional in its approach. They can be funny. This mostly stems from Grado who is a professional wrestler by fame. It’s a young podcast and I’d guess has a younger listenership. You want banter and foul language this is a good show. You want analysis, clean language and clued in knowledge of the game stick to the BBC based sports podcasts the your teams unofficial offering.
