Episode 167: The Murder of Louise Chaput

True Crime New England

On this week’s episode of True Crime New England, Katie and Liz talk about the murder of Canadian tourist, Louise Chaput, in November of 2001. Louise traveled to Pinkham Notch in the White Mountains of New Hampshire, as she was an avid hiker who loved the outdoors and being active. On this solo trip, Louise arrived at her destination just before it began to get dark outside, and feeling like she needed exercise from driving all day, opted to go for a short hike before checking into her hotel. This would tragically prove to be fatal, as almost a week later, Louise was found murdered. Over 23 years later, her death remains unsolved.

If you or anyone you know has any information on the murder of Louise Chaput, please contact the New Hampshire Cold Case Unit at 603-271-3658 or the New Hampshire State Police at 800-525-5555.
