Episode 18: Joe Bussiere - Composer

Joe Bussiere is a composer. He and I recently collaborated on “Graduation” (2024). The project originates from a 34 year old found VHS tape of a high school graduation. The images from the tape were heavily modified using only analogue methods. Bussiere’s composition draws from the sounds found on the original tape, turning them into music. The video deals with memory and visual artifacts, both which decay over time.
