This week, join Danny in conversation with this week's guest, Nick Zaring.
Nick received his undergraduate degree in Evolutionary Biology and Ecology from CU Boulder where he was a BURST/BSI Scholar. He holds a Masters in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from the University of Denver with a focus on addiction. He trained as a Psychedelic-Assisted Therapy Practitioner through the Integrative Psychiatry Institute and currently focuses on Ketamine assisted psychotherapy as the director of psychedelic services at AIM Health. He is also Veteran of the U.S. Navy and a yoga instructor.
As a counselor he has worked with many ages and backgrounds for the last 6 years. He has specific experience with young adults in transitional living, addiction counseling, neuro-divergent individuals and teaching yoga to underprivileged populations. Prior to AIM Health he worked within the Colorado specialty courts, helping run the RISE curriculum within the Denver county jail. 
Nick is oriented toward an existential and humanistic approaches to counseling along with psychedelic therapy. He is an avid bird-watcher and his favorite bird is the Swainson’s Thrush. He spends much of his time with his wife, their newborn son, and their two cats.
